Judith Kipulu Mawaka is the founder of Mawaka Legal, a bilingual lawyer and Notary Public who is proud to call Kemptville home. Called to the Ontario Bar in 2026, she established Mawaka Legal with a desire to serve individuals, families, and businesses in her community and beyond, offering legal services in both English and French. Mawaka Legal understands that legal matters often arise during important moments in people's lives, whether purchasing a first home, planning for the future, or establishing a business. She believes clients deserve to feel heard, understand their options, and have confidence in the legal process. Her approach combines careful attention to detail with clear communication, practical advice, and genuine respect for each client's circumstances. Before founding Mawaka Legal, Judith completed her articling at a boutique law firm in Markham, Ontario, where she gained experience in real estate, wills and estates, litigation, and business law. She also spent several years working in the federal public service in human resources and labour relations. These experiences shaped her appreciation for listening, navigating complex situations, and building relationships founded on trust and professionalism. Judith holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Licentiate in Law (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from York University. As a resident of Kemptville in North Grenville, Judith values the opportunity to build lasting relationships within the community she calls home. Through Mawaka Legal, she is pleased to offer a welcoming, professional environment where clients can discuss their legal needs in the language they feel most comfortable speaking.
